Hidden features in the Google play store

We all have smartphones nowadays, in Android based smartphones Play Store plays an effective role. Play Store is large collection of application, movies, music, books, magazines and games. Google is working best for play store. Many of us use play store daily but I bet you don't know these settings of play store.                      

  Before I start the journey of hidden settings of play store. You should check that your play store is updated or not . Updated Google Play Store makes all the Settings possible. You can use any Setting. For checking that your play Store is updated or not all you have to do this 

           Go to Settings -> Play Store Version

Tap on the Play Store Version, if it is not updated than it starts updating in the background otherwise you will see this

 Google Play Store is up to date. 
As shown in the figure below.

  

                    1. Parental Control

The first setting we all talk about is parental control. I personally think parental control is the best setting of play store because it sets the privacy for you. Setting the privacy means which type of content you want to see or purchase in the Google Play Store. Some stuff contains adult content so if you don't want to interact with that, Parental Control will help you. It keeps your games and applications secured.

         Why Parental Controls are Important

If you haven't use any tips or tricks in Google Play Store then your Parental Controls settings are off By default. So the Google Play Store is able to show all its applications and games of any maturity level.

 So if you want to restrict that stuff make the Parental Controls settings enable as soon as possible.

     How Can you Set Up Parental Controls 

Setting up the Parental Controls is a quite easy job . Follow all the steps given below.

By Using Google play Store Application

STEP 1 -> Open the Google Store App.

STEP 2 -> In the top left corner, there is a MENU

STEP 3 -> Tap on MENU -> Settings -> Parental Controls 

STEP 4 -> Create a PIN and Make sure that your pin should be simple, in case of forgetting the PIN, You can clear the play store apps data, so the Parental Controls settings are disable.

STEP 5 ->  Choose your Category 

                -  Apps and games :

                   Choose the maturity level of content so that Google Play Store will allow you to download or purchase.

                   

               -  Movies :

                  Select the restrictions so that Google Play Store applies filter on that.

                               

               -  Music 

                 Choose this category If you don't like explicit content in the field of Music.

               

        In what Parental Control can not work

 Basically Parental Controls are great but in some conditions they didn't work. Make sure that you are not in those conditions .

1. If you think that you can visit restricted content in the Google Play Store with a direct link than this setting doesn't work. There is no role of Parental Controls in the direct link. So prevent yourself from using the direct link.

2.We can set up some settings by using Browsers for Example - Indie Corner. But in Parental Controls we can't do this. We better suggest you to set up Parental Controls using the Google Play Store Applications.

3.If you set up the settings of Parental Controls than it doesn't work when you are travelling to another country. Basically it works on the country in which you have set up.

4. If you have Multiple Users in your device and

Only you have set up the Parental Controls that it works only for your account. Others are not related to that. If they want to set up the Parental Controls for their account they have to follow all the steps for Setting Up the Parental Controls.

                          2. WishList

Many of us surfs the shopping sites like flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon and if you like any product there, you can just simply add to the WishList by clicking on the WishList icon.

 So for the second time when you open the application you don't have to search the item, you can just simply  go to the WishList and find your favorite item.

In the Google Play Store, we find a lots of stuff so if you want to build your own WishList of application, games , movies , books. you can just select THE ADD TO WISHLIST ICON when you see an item on your mobile , Computer , desktop or Laptop. Whether it is the latest game, popular movie or a great book. Add to WishList is the best way to collect all the stuff you like.

       

                                            
          Why WishList is very Important

WishList is very Important only because you can collect many stuff you like and if you are obsessed with searching all the time in Google Play Store only for the application, game, book you like than it's importance takes place.

WishList is empty by default. You can add many stuff you like.

     

    How you can create your own WishList 

STEP 1 ->Open the Google Play Store Application.

STEP 2 -> At the top of the screen , tap menu. 

STEP 3 -> Tap WishList

STEP 4 -> Tap an item in your WishList.

STEP 5 -> It brings you to next page where you can install, remove or purchase it from your WishList.

  

You can also manage your WishList by keep checking it daily. If you find any new application add to WishList.

  If you want to remove any application from your WishList, tap on the three dots of application and select Remove from WishList on it's detail page.

            In what Wishlist does not work

The list of WishList can't do is very small, It is a good process and it can any thing you want but See, Adding to the WishList is the purpose to collect stuff, if you think that the item will be automatically download in WISHLIST, you are wrong.

   

                             3. Early Access

All the application we see in the play store, is already released,  If you want to use some applications which are not officially released, yet they are in under development then Early Access will help you.

   Basically Early Access is such setting in which a developer just want to know your feedback. So the developer gives you a chance to interact with their stuff and want your feedback. By doing this you can appreciate the work of a creator. 

         Why Early Access is most Important

    

Early Access applications are those applications which have not been released yet. They are under development but a developers gives you a chance to use such applications.

   But before using this type of applications remember one thing, these applications are under construction so they might have bugs and this means such apps might crash, or damage your phone when you are using them.

             How you can set up Early Access 

STEP 1-> Open the Play Store Application.
                

STEP 2 -> There is a Early Access tag in the apps and games wall.

STEP 3 -> Tap on Early Access 

STEP 4 -> Select any app from Unreleased Applications or Games in development, its your choice.

STEP 5 -> Tap on Install.

                  

By doing this , the application which is under development are yours . When the application complete, you can install the application.

If you uninstalled an unreleased application, you may be get enrolled automatically in the Beta program when the apps launches.

                   
        In what Early Access does not work

Early Access allows user to give the best feedback because developer hard work is attached with it but sometimes their is some issue of space occurs.

                                         

                   
                    4. Beta Tester

Beta Version is new for us.beta applications are those applications which allows you to do anything Experimental things in the field of application and games.
In google play store beta tester is type of applications that is used by the users before they are officially released . in this way user can use the application before its official released. sometime it is also called beta program.

      

           
          Why Beta Testing is very Important

By using Beta version of any application you can use any version of application before the application is introduced publicly. You can find bugs, mistake and every possible thing.

         

         How you can become Beta Tester 

STEP 1 -> Open the Google Play Store.

STEP 2 -> Search any application you want in the search box.

STEP 3 -> Tap on it and go to the application detailed page.

STEP 4 -> the application details page   mentions a beta tester in the end  of the page. Either it could in bottom of the page.

STEP 5 -> Tap on I'M IN and then Select join.

There is also a space issue in Beta Testing, the developers can't allow many users.when ever a developer want then you are invited in a Beta program but for this you will have to wait For a long.

The trend of the latest is in peak now a days . 

Google is doing every possible things to improve the play store so thus you can use latest application,games. So can do everything by using Indie Corner. Basically Indie Corner is a Wall or gallery in which you can see latest Games, popular application and good books.

          Why Indie Corner is most Important

The tag Indie Corner will interact you to latest games and applications so Indie Corner is very important. You can enjoy latest version of application when ever you want only because Google is helping you.

STEP 1 - Go to Google

STEP 2 - Type Indie Corner

STEP 3 - Click on the first result which comes with the link of play Store.

 The last STEP will bring to you in a next page.

Download any application you want from the page and enjoy it.

                             
        In What Indie Corner does not work

Indie Corner is attached with the direct link. There is no such wall in the  Google Play Store Application. All you have to do this every time you have to open the browser and search it.
